Welcome to the 48th Gorleston Competitive Festival!

Our website gives you all the information you need to know about the history of the Festival, schedule for 2018 and how to enter!  After a very successful 47th Festival, we look forward to welcoming performers old and new as well as current supporters. Whatever your ability, grade or instrument; we would love to share in your talent.

The Committee is made up of musicians ourselves, who over the years have entered festivals and had the pleasure of competing for certificates, medals and trophies. Some of us have even won the odd one or two!

The Festival will be taking place over 1 week from the 7th March 2018 at Magdalen Way Methodist Church, Gorleston. The venue proved a great success last year with an acoustically excellent performance space, lots of spare room for instrument cases and choir waiting areas too. The refreshments kindly provided by the Church went down a treat!

We are also keen to enlist new Festival Friends, so if you are interested in supporting us and attending our classes or concerts, please go to our Contact Us page and get in touch.

ENTRY FOR THE 2018 FESTIVAL IS NOW OPEN! We look forward to welcoming you.

Our 2016 Festival outing is going to PROMS IN THE PEWS on Sunday 30th October, 3pm at Magdalen Way Methodist Church, Gorleston.

PROMS IN THE PEWS is an opportunity for you to perform in front of an appreciative audience and have a little practice ahead of Festival week. Hosted by Statement Choir, it is sure to be a fun and entertaining afternoon of music. We have a great line up of young performers for your enjoyment.

Tickets are £5 for adults, £3 for children but if you’re performing it’s free.
